What kind of prototypes does AppArt produce?
We specialize in a variety of paperboard prototypes, mock ups and comps including folding cartons, DVD and CD packaging, food packaging, and retail and consumer packaging for games, software and other products. We also manufacture mounted posters and character cutouts.

Can AppArt shrink-wrap the prototypes?
Yes.

Can AppArt incorporate clear plastic in the prototypes?
Yes.

How many POPs can you produce?
Our typical runs are 100 or less, but we have done higher runs. We’ll work with you to get you what you need.

Can you do unusual shapes and die cuts?
Yes, and we love to do so. We’ve done character cutouts mounted to foam core or mat board, game boards, game boxes with pieces showing through, camera boxes, boxes with flaps, and more. We get excited about bringing our customers’ products to life in unconventional ways.

How much does this cost? What kind of turnaround times do you offer?
Because every project is unique, it’s difficult to give a general answer. We have turned on a dime, we’ve worked with more generous timelines. Costs vary depending on complexity and a host of other issues. Give us a call and let’s talk: 425.272.2000. Or request a quote here.

Can you ship my prototypes to multiple addresses?
Yes, we can drop ship to various locations.

What type of file will I need to supply?
We prefer the original source/layout file, such as Quark or InDesign with all the fonts and links, but we can also work from a high-resolution pdf.

What if I don’t have final artwork? Can you still make the prototypes?
Yes. In fact, that is a perfect use for our service. Often times our customers need a visual of the draft stages of a product package, in which case they just send us what they have and we mock it up on a box. Even if it’s just a front panel, we can leave the rest of the package blank or repeat the art on the other panels.
